star wars

well it's high time i saw the new star wars installment. there is one teeny problem: j. hasn't seen any of them and doesn't want to go until this is remedied.
i would eagerly rewatch 4,5 and 6. but the thought of 1 and 2 ---sitting through
jarjar binks' shenanigans is paralyzing.
woould it be good enough to show j. 4-5-6 and then the part 3 finale?
better yet how about 4 and 5 alone and then the new one?

4 and 5 are really the outstanding ones in the bunch ---and she would know enough----or would she? i need some advice here.

this is a hard one. I would say DEFINITELY 4&5 and then you could have a dinner where the only topic of conversation was a summary of 1 &2. I think you'd need to know *something* about 1 &2 but yeah, who wants to sit through those. Though now after having seen 3 I kind of want to see them again. At any rate, definitely don't wait tooo long b/c you need to see #3 in the theater.

Sigh. You should tell J. to sit through 4 and 5. By then, she'll know whether she's hooked. If so, great. She can see 6 and jump into 3 (if she still insists on short-cuts).

I don't know--while 1 and 2 are definitely not up to the same par as 4, 5 or 6, they really do set up #2 quite nicely.

You could always fast-forward through the painful/boring parts...

Good point. Just suck it up and watch the other five first.
