from americans looking for jobs in canada because of their despair over the direction of u.s. policy and politics.

I recommend she start with Episode 4 and see them in the order that the rest of us did.
I full-heartedly agree with D. to watch 4-6 first, then 1 and 2, finishing with 3 in the theater.
At least it should be in the theaters for a while...
